Horse Discovery
In small groups with CANTRA Certified instructors participants explore stable management, horse care, grooming, horse handling and leading.
Age Group: All Ages
When: Week nights and weekends
Where: Rainbow Riders Therapeutic Riding Facility, St. John’s
Length: 4-6 weeks

Adaptive Needs, Cygnus Gymnastics
A free play class for children with exceptionalities. Kids can explore the facility and learn to move in play with a caregiver in our safe and encouraging environment. This class is the only class offered in the facility at the time slot to provide the most focused, student-centered care.
Ages: 6-18
When: Saturdays, 4:30 PM
Length: 11 Weeks

Dance Therapy
What: In small groups or individual session, Occupational Therapist Hilary Walsh, helps support your child's social,        emotional, and physical development through the fun of dance.
When: Ages 3-5: Saturday 2:30-3:00pm
Ages 6-9: Saturday 3:15-3:45pm
Ages 9-12: Saturday 4:00-4:45pm
Where: 30 Harvey Road
Cost: 35$ for individual sessions, or $20 for a group session

WILD Outside
Age Group: 15-18; for those interested in outdoor adventure (hiking, kayaking, skiing) and wildlife conservation
When: Bi-weekly; weekends
Where: Various locations around metro
Cost: Free; offered in partnership with the Canadian Wildlife Federation

Art Classes
Age Group: Grades 2-5; for those interested in design, animation and art

Wallnuts Climbing Program
In small groups of 3 children will work with 2 of Wallnuts coaches to learn rock climbing skills. Caregivers are asked to accompany their children during the first lesson and if needed, maybe asked to continue attending to support their loved one.
Age Group: 6-11
When: Sundays 8:00-9:30am
Length: 4 weeks

Pre-Employment Programs

STEP (Students Transitioning into Employment and Post-Secondary)
Year-long program designed for high school students to build self-awareness and skills through structured learning sessions and volunteerism with the ultimate goal of identifying appropriate employment or post-secondary choices upon school leaving.
Age Group: 16-21
When: October-June
Length of program: Year-long program
Where: Offered across the province
Cost: No cost; funded by Exon Mobil, RBC and the Fry Family Foundation

A full year of career exploration, community volunteerism, job shadowing, and onsite summer work experience to build the confidence and skill sets of young adults on the spectrum.
Age Group: 18+
When: September-August
Length of program: Year-long program
Where: Elaine Dobbin Centre for Autism, St. John’s
Cost: No cost; fully funded by the Department of Advanced Education and Labor

16 week-long program designed for individuals who want to enter or return to the workforce, and who are interested to developing and practicing the skills needed for successful employment.
Age Group: 15+
When: April 2021
Where: Corner Brook and St. John's
Length of program: 16 weeks
Cost: No cost; funded by Government of Canada’s Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities Program
