DESCRIPTION:Andreae Callanan holds a PhD in English from Memorial University\, and is a Vanier Canada and Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation scholar; her research focuses on the relationship between autism and poetry. Her 2021 poetry collection\, The Debt\, was a finalist for the Fred Cogswell Award for Excellence in Poetry and the E. J. Pratt Poetry Award. Andreae is co-convener of the Research and Knowledge Exchange Group on Autism at the NL Centre for Applied Health Research\, and poetry editor for Janus Unbound: Journal of Critical Studies. Currently\, Andreae is working on two book projects: a collection of essays exploring neurodivergent modes of paying attention\, and a volume of lectures on creative writing.

DESCRIPTION:ASNL has collaborated with Perfectly Centered Gymnastics in Grand Falls to offer a gymnastics program once per month. This program will include a sensory friendly environment where participants can come and enjoy physical activity in a safe\, neuro-affirming environment. \n  \nThe goal of this program is for participants to have FUN and be themselves! \n  \n​**We want to take this opportunity to clarify that there are no criteria or questions from either organization for participation and encourage anyone interested to register and attend. \n  \nDATE: MARCH 22\, 2024\, 530pm-630pm  \n(Future dates TBD) \n  \nLocation: 44 Hardy Ave\, Grand Falls-Windsor NL A2A 2P9 \n  \nCost is $5 per participant.
